PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Design and curate ongoing program of exhibitions including emerging, mid-career and established artists
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with artists, clients, sponsors and government representatives
• Hire and manage installation staff and other contract entities
• Ensure high public exposure by crafting press releases and communicating with local and national media
• Oversee, design and coordinate printing and distribution of exhibition announcements, newsletters, brochures and catalogs
• Maintain current and relevant information on organization’s website and other listings in appropriate publications and websites
• Implement computer-based system to manage organization’s inventory and to maintain
  accurate database of contacts generating specific lists of patrons and sponsors
• Identify supporters who have expressed interest in an artist/organization to target invitations for special previews, gallery talks, dinners, etc. for sales and fundraising
• Work directly with artists to ensure current images and biographical information are available
• Established the Side Gallery Series, a monthly showcase of regional artists at the AcA
• Presented Southern Open, a regional competitive juried exhibition, at the AcA
• Work jointly with organizational departments to ensure high quality presence in local, regional and national media outlets and in the community
• Manage art fair applications, coordinate shipping, travel, and other logistical matters
  regarding art fairs, worked duration of fair including registration, installation and
  de-installations
• Represent the organization in the community and liaison with other non-profit and for-profit entities in the region
