Pat Macaluso chosen for P.3+ Hammond exhibition

For the first time, Prospect New Orleans is including Hammond, Baton Rouge and Lafayette in it’s P.3+ Regional Programming as part of its upcoming biennial, Prospect 3, taking place October 25, 2014 – January 25, 2015. Prospect.3 is an international contemporary art biennial that will feature the work of 58 artists selected by Artistic Director Franklin Sirmans in 18 venues located throughout New Orleans.

Two artworks by Pat Macaluso have been chosen for inclusion in P.3+ Hammond:
Equilibrium of Perception A Bit of Eternity
As part of its mission to support the local arts community, P.3+ is directed at highlighting and promoting exhibitions and arts events put up by local artists throughout the course of the biennial. Hammond is representing its local and regional arts community by presenting over two dozen art exhibits, installations and performances at a multiple venues throughout the city and inviting national artists from Chicago, Memphis and Jackson to exhibit as part of our P.3+ programming.
Hammond will host an official P.3+ Excursion Weekend on January 9 – 11, 2015 where we will welcome travelers on our upcoming Train Art Excursion from Chicago, Memphis and Jackson. These visitors will be joined on January 10th by the official P.3+ bus excursion from New Orleans, accompanied by visitors from Baton Rouge, Lafayette, St. Tammany Parish and neighboring cities in Tangipahoa Parish. Visitors will be treated to an expanded version of our 1st Friday Art Walk, taking place on January 9th, enhanced live music offerings, performing arts, special installations, fashion shows and an outdoor exhibit of Giants in the City, presenting giant inflatable sculptures designed by a group of international artists.
